With Rosie’s help I finally got all of the dahlias dig up. Just in time for a 27 degree night!

We were so very fortunate to be awarded a grant from the Farmer Veteran Coalition! This shed will serve as our cold storage/seed starting room! We have been cramming our seed trays into the laundry room and to say it’s mess is an understatement! This will give us the opportunity to grow and expand the quantity of flowers we sell! This is a major game changer! Thank you Farmer Veteran Coalition
This last week has been A LOT. It’s just the Mr. and getting everything done, we are exhausted, we are sore, slightly sunburned and drowning in rain at the same time. But, then when we stop and take a look at what we are building and the purpose and goal that we are pushing so hard for, it helps. The view doesn’t hurt either 😜. But if a hot tub magically showed up I definitely wouldn’t complain!

We are gearing up for some stupid low temps and I went out to make sure everything is tucked in. I found myself staring at my flowers willing them to grow faster. That little minute of rain reminded me, to everything there is a season. There is different growth in each season that is necessary for the next stage. Our season in life right now feels cruel and never ending and I just want it over with. I have to remind myself that it might rain for a really long time but it won’t rain forever. Soon those pretty colors will be everywhere and there are better days ahead. There has to be.
Pre-spouting over 1000 more flowers and preparing our ten new beds! Also, at the end you may see a little sneak peak of something new to the farm this year!
The bad news: due to other farm projects we won’t have flowers today, but we will see you tomorrow with a loaded truck full pretty flowers! The good news: Look at how AWESOME this thing is looking!! Thank you to the Mr. for putting in all the hard work. 🖤 You’ll notice the busy toddler running around and this is why the video shows the John Deere dashboard for a bit 🤣
