Cornish Pasties are one of my favorite meals. You can’t beat the savory flavors of the traditional style (beef, potatoes and root vegetables), but I’ve been having a lot of fun coming up with unique takes. This one is filled with roasted chicken, brie, a fig compote and rosemary butter.

What are some other flavors I should try?

I am constantly brainstorming recipe ideas to revamp Bruv’s Kitchen and have been thinking about this one for a while. Cuban’s are one of my favorite sandwiches so I thought why not make a leaner version to fit my goals and needs.

Cuban Bowls
- Slow Roasted Pork (marinated in mojo and rubbed in a house made seasoning)
-Dill Pickle Slaw
- Shredded Swiss
-Creamy Mustard Sauce
All on top a bed of rice

It’s Grilling Season!

Wing are one of my go to and a household favorite.

After bribing them in Spring Street Saison and coating them in a house made rub, i sauces them up in a Sweet Heat sauce I made featuring Mr. P’s Bama Sauce

Finding time to do everything you want to do when balancing work, kids, school, etc. is extremely difficult. Sometimes it’s nice to slow down and do what you love. Last night I did that in the form of Irish Soda Bread.
With all of the negative on the world, we should all take time to do something we enjoy. Even if for five minutes, every day.

It’s been a while since I’ve done any baking. Mother’s Day was the perfect excuse. I took Ina Garten’s Chocolate Cake Recipe and added my own twist to it, cherries!

Potato Sausage Hash
Our speciality home fries with bell pepper, onion, turkey smoked sausage and eggs topped with cheese.
This delicious anytime dish passed the toughest taste tester in the market (my eight year old).

It’s probably no surprise that I’m a giant nerd when it comes to cookbooks. They’re great for education and inspiration.
My absolute favorite right now is one from
The overwhelming desire to cook everything in it is real.
Her savory oatmeal is so easy and delicious. I’m already thinking of variations to do with it.
Who knows, maybe something like this will join the Bruv’s breakfast line-up soon.
