My last day , long flight back to the states at 6:30am Tuesday!!!
I’m sad but also relieved!!
But not back to Tuscaloosa until the end of the month😞
Headed back to Houston, then to Nashville for my god son’s bachelor party weekend, then back to Houston, and finally drive back to Tuscaloosa with stops in lake Charles, New Orleans and Biloxi.

Spent my last day in Venice and LOTS OF PICTURES!!! ( numerous posts )
Will be multiple posts and I HIGHLY recommend enlarging the pictures to see the details

1 1/2 hours standing up 😞😞
Train from Verona to Venezia
Got a seat !!!! Woohoo !!!!!
Walk to hotel (10 minutes)
Started at 6:45am, at hotel 4:00pm
Other than flight home, last long travel day
Woohoo!!!

Did a loop touting the few sites in Venice mestre, and then to a small festival at forte
Marghera, and a REALLY GOOD focaccia chicken sandwich and an amaro ( 12 euro !!) right by the hotel.

Needed a half day, low mileage day trip.
Took the bus to Bressanone, did a little walking and exploring and basically just rested. (Only 6 miles)
Tomorrow off to Venice ( will be 6 - 7 hours of buses and trains )

Doing a day trip today to Trento
Took the bus from Ortisei to Bolzano
Explored for an hour then
Took the train to Trento
As you’ll see in the pictures did a lot of exploring in Trento, I was here two years ago and as I’m walking, remembered the Olympic Museum that’s built into the mountain. Really really cool exhibit it’s hard to get good pictures. also, it’s free to enter the museum.
Was able to do a little bit more exploring, got the train back to Balzano, got the bus back to ortisei!!!
Back at the hotel, had a quick swim and sauna and steam room. I’ve been here for four days. I’ve been in the spa three days and I’ve never seen a person there so I’ve had it all to myself. Anyway, probably will be two different posts lots of pictures.
