For the fourth year in a row, we have bred a Champion or a Reserve at Freedom Fest. This year, Thomas Vanteventer of Illinois exhibited the Champion Fitted Dorset Ram with RSF 2607, a September-born ram lamb. This ram lamb was selected from us privately this spring. He is sired by RSF 2401, an RSF “Sensation” son we own with Troy Doty and out of the RSF 1627 ewe, a “Samson” daughter who has been an absolute matriarch in our program.

Congratulations to Thomas and his family on an outstanding job showing and preparing this ram. Watch for him at shows later this summer!

We don’t buy many ewes but when one this good pops up we take advantage of it. We feel she will make a great addition. Champion ewe at the 2026 Ohio show case sale! Thank you Riley Donkers for bringing such an exceptional sheep!
