New website. Still working on some of the pages and links, but got a good bit done today. Enough to go live anyway. Throw me some feedback to take with me tomorrow when I get back at it.

Things have been really busy around here and I haven't had a chance to post. Life does that on a farm and I am a goat farmer, not an "influencer." More of an enabler than an influencer anyway.... Here is our newest LGD, Rocky (he's only 5 months old) and a couple of doelings we just got from Starlight Acres Farm. We also got our new buck from them, but I don't have pics yet. I will take more after I recuperate from 14 hours in a car, midnight milking when I first got home, and rising early with little sleep. I've milked this morning and checked on everyone and think it's nap time. 😴

We are about to make some serious cuts in our herd. If you're looking for registered Nigerian Dwarf dairy goats or even just a pet, stay tuned! We have 4 babies sold, 6 ready to be, and some about to be born. Plus we have a proven 6 year old doe, and 4 year old, a 2 year old, and one not quite a year old that is not registered. Finally! Its the black one, Rye Bread. She only bagged up on one side of her udder and it is very little, but when I milked a little out it is colostrum. I bumped her but do not feel any babies. I have her in the barn. I'm not 100% certain she isn't still pregnant so I'm keeping watch. I had her pegged for about 2 + weeks after that baby was found. She must have caught during the first cycle i had her in and I didn't realize it. But last year was crazy getting moved in and getting a couple of bucks, plus Mavis and Kiara had bucklings that kept escaping back in with mamas and trying to impregnate everything in sight! They really messed up my breeding/kidding season. Good thing I have had the fence repaired and boy proofed since then. LOL

Y'all, I have a conundrum. Has anyone else encountered this?
We found a newborn baby goat in the pasture. It was nestled in the hay pile where my LGD likes to bring things she finds. It had some nearly dried afterbirth spots on it, but no afterbirth or goo anywhere. We brought the baby in, warmed her up, and unfortunately, lost her a few hours later. We went back to find the mama. In that pen I only have 5 goats. 1 lost her babies a couple months ago. 1 is too young to be bred. 2 are early in their pregnancy. 1 is late in her pregnancy. No one had any goo, blood, or afterbirth on them. No one had swollen hoohaws. No one has a discharge. All hoohaws are tight and closed. I am losing my mind trying to figure out where that baby came from. No one anywhere near us has Nigerian dwarf goats. I have no idea where that baby came from. I caught each girl and checked her out personally. No one had recently kidded. None of them!!! How is this possible???
