Alban Hills Farm

Alban Hills Farm is a Tennessee Century Farm founded in 1822 that currently raises Black Angus Cattle. Alban Hills Farm is located just outside the city limits of Tusculum, TN.

It was named after a region south of Rome, Italy that is the home of the ancient Roman city of Tusculum, the ruins of which were visited by Mr. William King Gaut, Sr. during WWII. Alban Hills Farm is a private Tennessee Century Farm, founded in 1822. Although the farm has had a history of growing various crops, it's current primary function is raising Black Angus Cattle.

Another heir to the Family Farm has arrived, Welcome Wesley Jay Blackwelder, born 3-29-21 10:26pm, joining his Big brother Dylan to start the learning curve on Alban Hills Farm. After a short acquaintance session, all the boys gather for a planning session on Spring hay cutting, with Oliver the Doodle providing security.

As we were taking a break from some tree work on Wednesday afternoon, looking from our perch towards the mountains discussing some of the daily goings on, with all the Covid 19 issues, and the uncertainty of life in general, we noticed coming from down in the river bottom fields, a majestic site that reminded us we are all in a Great Place, and some of the most fortunate of all. With the gliding of one of the mature Bald Eagles, and one of the younger Eaglets following, which are making their home on our Nolichucky River, sure puts things in perspective! What a wonderful place we live!
