There was not enough rain last week to significant drought improvements, but there was enough to keep conditions from worsening. D3 Extreme Drought was removed from Southwest AL and now only 0.8% remains in North AL. Other drought designations remained largely the same as last week, with 29% of the state in D2 Severe Drought and 42% in D1 Moderate Drought. With beneficial rain in next week's forecast, expect to see potential drought improvements.
