A little peek at what's sprouted. The first batch of sweet corn is popping up! 🌽🌱 We found that sweet spot just before the rain a few weeks ago and then this warm weather hit and it really helps germinate that seed. We are off to a great planting and growing season so far.

As we spend the day out in our fields, we will pause to take a minute and reflect on the sacrifices that men and women have made for our freedom to be here doing what we love. We hope all of you enjoy this Memorial Day. πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡ΈπŸŒ±

We are right on schedule! 13 acres of pumpkins, gourds and squash are getting planted this weekend. Fun fact: we hand plant, hand hoe, and hand pick all of our pumpkins, gourds and squash. πŸŒ±πŸŽƒ

The ground temp finally got warm enough for us to plant our first set of sweet corn! We usually plant sets two weeks apart so our corn lasts longer into the season. If you know our corn, you know it's the sweetest variety you can get. 🌽

Our 2025 Norman's Farm recap. We had another great year on the farm. Darwin celebrated his 92nd birthday this year and was able to cut the hay we put up, as well as keep up with yard work. We are here because of all he has done to his farm. Duke is still our proud welcoming committee and has high hopes to continue that role next year making it a 3 year title for him. Our cattle are happy and healthy and we have had a few calves just in the last few weeks. Our extended family helped throughout the planting and harvesting season, and we can't express how thankful we are for them. We made cider and lots of donuts again this year. We hope to expand on that into the upcoming years. Our pumpkin season was amazing, and we had a great year of sweet corn. We strive to adapt and grow to help us produce and supply the best produce we can, so we plan on taking what we've learned into the next year. As usual, we wouldn't be here without the support of the community. We truly can't express how grateful we are that you visit us, purchase our products, share our page, like our posts, and support us through the years. We are looking forward to 2026 and all it has to offer!
