One thing I absolutely love about Idaho Pasture Pigs is their mothering ability. 🐷🌾

These moms are calm, attentive, and incredibly gentle with their piglets. Unlike a lot of commercial breeds, you can often sit right beside an IPP sow while she’s nursing or caring for babies without stress or aggression. That steady temperament makes a huge difference for both the pigs and the farmer.

Happy Mother’s Day from our little corner of the prairie 🌾🐷

To all the moms out there raising babies, animals, gardens, businesses, and homes all at the same time… you are seen. This life can be messy, exhausting, beautiful, and so rewarding all at once.

Today we’re especially thankful for the gift of family, hard work, and the blessing of doing this life together. God has been so good to us.

Hope your day is filled with slow moments, full hearts, and lots of love 💛

One thing we’ve learned raising Idaho Pasture Pigs is that healthy pigs don’t happen by accident.

A lot of people picture pigs as animals that can survive on scraps and “eat whatever,” but truly well-raised pigs need good pasture, balanced feed, fresh water, shade, minerals, space to move, and consistent care. Just like any other livestock, what goes into them matters.

That’s one reason we love Idaho Pasture Pigs so much for small farms and homesteads—they were created to thrive in a pasture-based environment and do incredibly well when given room to graze and be pigs 🐷🌿

You can usually tell the difference in animals that are raised intentionally. Calm temperaments, healthy body condition, strong growth, and honestly… happier pigs overall.

Around here we believe good farming starts with stewardship first. Healthy land, healthy animals, healthy food, and doing things with care even when it takes more time 💛

Pigs really out here getting slandered for no reason 😅

Everyone loves to say pigs are “dirty”…
but give them space and they’ll keep their bathroom, bed, and food areas separate like they’ve got their life together.

The mud?
That’s not mess.
That’s on purpose.

They can’t sweat, so they cool off the only way they know how—
and honestly… it works better than half the stuff we try in Oklahoma summers 🥵

Well hey there 👋🌾

We have had quite a few new faces and wanted to say… welcome to the prairie!

Around here it’s pasture pigs, muddy boots, full hearts, and a whole lot of purpose behind what we do 🐖✨

What started as “just a couple pigs” turned into a full-blown family farm (because that’s how it always goes, right? 😅)

We’re so glad you’re here—whether you came for the pigs, the lifestyle, or just to follow along on the chaos.

Stick around… it’s a good time out here 🤍

Good Friday reminds us that love wasn’t just spoken…
it was poured out on a cross.

Jesus didn’t die for a few—
He died for all of us.
For our sin, our shame, and every broken piece we carry.

We are all Barabbas—
guilty, not worthy… and yet set free.

He took our place.
He bore what was ours.
The cross was meant for us—and He chose it anyway.

The sacrifice was real.
The cost was high.
And His grace isn’t something we could ever earn—only receive.

But the story didn’t end there.

Easter morning reminds us that death never had the final say.
The stone was rolled away, and the grave was defeated.

Out here on the farm, we see pieces of that story every day—
in new life, in hard seasons, and in the quiet way God provides and restores.

The cross wasn’t the end.
The tomb wasn’t the end.
And whatever you’re walking through… this isn’t the end either.

He is risen.
And because He lives… we are free.

Happy Easter weekend from our family to yours✝️
