IN SEARCH OF RANCH/HOUSE SITTER
We're looking for someone dependable to help keep our ranch running smoothly while we're away.
You would be needed several times a year for 4-10 days at a time while we travel for work.
Should be reliable, trustworthy with strong work & moral ethics.
This would be perfect for a retired gentleman who misses working outdoors, the routine of farm chores and the sound of a tractor.
We're also open to a younger guy starting out, as long as you're responsible, honest and willing to learn.
RESPONSIBILITIES WOULD BE:
Feeding cows
Pail feed grain to calves
Checking water tanks
Small animal chores
(summer chores would obviously be less)
Must be comfortable operating older ranch/farm equipment and also be able to problem solve small issues that may arise.
Example: Frozen water tanks, broken fence, cows/sheep out etc.
You can either stay at our home on the ranch near Tuttle while we're gone, or drive back and forth daily if you're nearby. We'll make sure the fridge is stocked and have home-cooked meals and baked goodies ready for you to enjoy. We want you to feel comfortable, appreciated and at home while here.
It's not strenuous work, just steady chores to keep everything running as usual even while we're away.
Having the right person out here will give us peace of mind knowing everything is handled and taken care of the way it should be.
