How does a hive choose a queen? 👑🐝

It’s actually wild — queens aren’t born… they’re made.

When a hive needs a new queen, the worker bees select a few very young larvae and start feeding them royal jelly nonstop.
That one change in diet triggers a complete transformation:
✨ longer body
✨ fully developed ovaries
✨ powerful pheromones
✨ the ability to lay up to 2,000 eggs a day

All the larvae in queen cups could become queens…
but only one will survive.

Bees kinda run their own little Hunger Games.
