With these extreme high temperatures, if you recently purchased and planted daylilies, please make sure they are getting plenty of water. πŸ’¦

Transplanting is already stressful on a plant as it works to establish new roots in its new home. The intense heat we’re experiencing can add even more stress, making consistent watering especially important during the first few weeks after planting.

A few tips:
🌱 Water deeply rather than lightly sprinkling.
🌱 Check the soil regularly and don’t let it completely dry out.
🌱 A layer of mulch can help retain moisture and keep roots cooler.
🌱 If possible, water early in the morning or late in the evening.

With a little extra care now, your daylilies will reward you with healthy growth and beautiful blooms for years to come! 🌼
