Rumor has it today is National Pet Day!
When I tell people I have goats the first question usually is, “Do you use their milk?”.
Well, they’re boys sooooo no.
The question I get about pigs is quite morbid….. “Are you going to eat them?”.
Also a solid no.
(Listen, unless you would eat your pet dog, don’t ask me if I’m going to eat my pet pigs.)

I think it’s officially time to make it official…
Everyone, please help us in welcoming Mozzarella Jasper to Rompin' Acres !
We adopted “Jasper” from Happy Trails Farm Animal Sanctuary, Inc. last weekend.
When we walked into the barn, he came right up to us like he had been waiting and was ready to come home.
That, combined with all the allowed petting and sniffing, we knew he was ours… and he seemed to know we were his!
I was cautious making the announcement until we knew how he and Jellybean would do together anddddd they’ve been great!
Some scuffles the first couple days but, since, they’re sharing sleeping quarters, have established their own eating areas and no more blood has been shed!
More to come on Mozzarella soon!

It’s March!
That means a few things….
MUD. So much mud.
HAIR. Shedding and brushing. I will say, Pepperoni loves getting brushed.
SUN. We snuck Gravy outside for some fresh air and sunshine. She spent her time rolling in dirt of the Fairy Garden then coming back inside.
And PIGS. Today is National Pig Day! Here’s a photo of our Jellybean enjoying a Cheeto dinner the other day.
