It's finally official!
Chris Thomson and I can announce that Thomson's Custom Meats is no longer affiliated with the Methow Valley Thriftway. The outside signage as well as the inside signage will soon be gone.
We will soon let you know what is coming next!

It's one of our most-asked questions this time of year, and we have an answer! The SR 20 North Cascades Highway will reopen to traffic at 9 a.m. on Thursday, April 18! Crews still have a bit of work to do, but this is the earliest opening since 2015 and will have the road connecting the Skagit and Methow valleys open in time for lowland fishing season and Winthrop's '49er Days! Great work by our maintenance crews on both the east and west sides of the pass!

So, Monday is the first day of the transition! So excited! Thomson's Meats joins the Methow Valley Thriftway! Grand Opening is scheduled for Wednesday, June 6th. Hope to see you soon. And, thank you, sincerely, for your continued support,

At the end of May we will be moving to Winthrop into the new Methow Valley Thriftway located in the spot of the old Evergreen. We will be carrying our premium meats, lamb and pork chops as well as all of our sausages, bacon, jerky and other specialty smoked goods. We are very excited about this new adventure and we look forward to serving you in the future!

At the end of May we will be moving to the town of Winthrop in the new Methow Valley Thriftway located in the spot of the old Evergreen store. Thomson's will run the meat shop carrying our premium meats, lamb and pork chops. We will have the same sausages, bacon, jerky and pepperoni that were available at our old location. We are very excited about this new adventure and look forward to serving you soon!

Special guests (Chef Wayne and sous chef Joe from the kitchen at the Freestone Inn) are here working with Seth to process beef specifically for the restaurant. These Methow Valley raised beef have been taken to a usda slaughter facility so that they can return and be served to guests in the restaurant.

Once again, the demands of the custom cutting side of our business necessitates the temporary closing of our retail store.We are up to our ears in beef, pigs and lambs! We simply can't do both! It may be another two weeks.
As always, if you do need something during this time, please leave us a phone message or go to the "red" door and we will be happy to accommodate your needs.
