📢 Important Schedule Update
Starting this week, Thursday, July 9th, Christina's Cakery will be CLOSED on Thursdays and Sundays.
Before the complaints start, we kindly ask for a little understanding.
Working in a bakery is unlike most jobs. Those who have worked in one truly understand the physical, mental, and emotional demands that come with it. For those who haven't, it's hard to imagine what goes into making sure fresh bread, buns, donuts, and baked goods are ready every single day.
Owning a bakery requires an incredible amount of dedication. As someone who owns both a bakery and a diner, I can honestly say I would choose working at the diner (and that can be chaos too) over the bakery any day. The bakery is by far the more demanding job.
Every production night is different. We never know if we'll have a lighter night or be hit with hundreds of dozens of buns, breads, donuts, and specialty orders. Our work begins when many people are going to bed and often continues until after the sun comes up. It's physically exhausting, mentally draining, and there's very little room for error when customers are counting on fresh products.
By closing on Thursdays and Sundays, we'll be able to focus on producing the highest-quality products for the days we're open, catch up on behind-the-scenes work, and give ourselves a chance to recharge so we can continue serving our customers for years to come.
We know not everyone will agree with this decision, but it's the right one for our family, our employees, and the future of Christina's Cakery.
With that being said, if you've ever wanted to learn the art of baking and aren't afraid of hard work, we're hiring!
We're looking for bakers and donut makers who are dependable, motivated, and willing to work in a fast-paced environment.
