So much COFFEE, so much to see.

Barnwood COFFEE Company is hitting the road! We’ll be traveling and spreading the Smithsonian Migratory Bird Center’s Bird Friendly® COFFEE mission, as well as sharing our, fresh roasted COFFEE, with more COFFEE loving friends, throughout the state, and the US.

This weekend, July 26th and 27th, will be our last open weekend here, at the farm.

32 days, 1 hour, 10 min, and 10 seconds until the WI State Fair!

You may be wondering why we are counting down… well, it’s one of our favorite weeks of the year. We love the Wisconsin State Fair and look
forward to it every year. If you haven’t been, what are you waiting for? You need to go! It’s the best of Wisconsin all in one place!

The Fair has all your favorite WI classics, like crullers, an old fashioned, cheese curds, and a fish fry on a stick. But, what makes the WI State Fair so special, is the spotlight it puts on WI agriculture and its farmers. It showcases the best of WI, but the true blue ribbon winners, are the dedicated, caring, hardworking farmers and their families.

We are so proud to say that we are neighbors, and live right down the road, from the boy, in this sweet photo, which is used, on the WI State Fair website. What an honor for our town and our community, that we have a hardworking family to represent us, at our State Fair. Every year, these farmers and their families, take the time to connect the gap between farmer and consumer, making people aware of how important WI agriculture is.

These farmers care deeply about their animals, and about the rich, cultural heritage, that is Wisconsin farming. Did you know, that only 2% of farms left in the U.S. are family owned farms? It’s a tough job, and one that is not appreciated nearly enough. The next time you meet a dairy farmer, or any small, family farmer, say thank you. We need them, our community needs them, and our country needs them!

Mooooove it or lose it... it's the final weekend of Dairy Month in America's Dairyland.

Wrangle up your friends, and haul them out to the farm, to grab the last few bags of our special, Dairy Month roast. This roast, is a limited, dark blend, in honor of our COFFEE loving friend Vanna. She is a local dairy farmer, and one of the proud owners of Milkinaire Dairy, a family farm, in the town of Two Rivers, WI. We support our dedicated, hardworking, local dairy farmers, and are happy to keep them caffeinated!

We will be open, Saturday and Sunday, from 8am-2pm.

PLEASE NOTE: WE WILL BE CLOSED NEXT WEEKEND, to celebrate one of our favorite days of the year, the Fourth of July. We will open again on July 12th and 13th.

Today, is a special day, for the United States of America. Not only is it Flag Day, which is always celebrated here, at Barnwood COFFEE, but it is also the 250th anniversary of the U.S. Army. Thank you to all who have defended this symbol of freedom.

In honor of this milestone, we are releasing Old Glory. Our seasonal, summer roast, celebrates an unwavering symbol of our nation, the American flag. Old Glory, is a medium roasted coffee, coming from one of our favorite origins, Sumatra. It is unique with earthy characteristics, and has notes of molasses, tropical fruit and hops. The cup is full bodied, smooth, and has a mild, fruit-like sweetness. Old Glory, is a special coffee, which is bold, yet gentle, just like the colors it represents.

For those of you not drinking fresh roasted COFFEE, whose COFFEE looks more like milk… the dairy farmers salute you!! Thank you for supporting America’s Dairyland!

Here are few WI milk facts to ponder while sipping your coffee and/or milk:

1. 13 essential nutrients your body needs are found in milk
2. Milk is made up of mostly water, 90% actually (stay caffeinated and hydrated)
3. WI has more than 6,500 dairy farms
4. More than 1.27 million cows call WI home
5. WI makes more cheese than any other state
6. 90% of the milk produced in WI is used to make cheese
7. More than 600 different varieties/types/styles of cheese are produced in WI
8. WI cows, on average, produce 112 glasses of milk each day
9. Ten pounds of milk make one pound of cheese
10. The first dairy cow was brought to America by Christopher Columbus
