This March tested us in ways we never expected. The March winter storm brought more than just snow and wind — it brought the collapse of two sections of our barn roof. Something no farmer ever wants to experience. In a matter of moments, everything changed. In the middle of the chaos, fear, heartbreak, and the “what are we going to do now?” moments, we were reminded just how incredible our community truly is.
We want to extend our deepest thanks to our employees, neighbors, friends, family, and everyone who showed up to help rescue animals, clear debris, move equipment, lend tools, bring meals, make calls, and leave their own families for a moment to offer support in every way possible. Your willingness to jump in without hesitation meant more than words can express, and a simple “thank you” will never be enough.
What could have been so much worse was made manageable because of the people around us. Farming is never a one-person job, and this experience proved that. Our people and cows are safe, and for that we are incredibly grateful.
The cleanup and rebuilding process began immediately, with the goal of making our barn functional again so we could continue our everyday operations. Today, you can drive by and it looks good as new!
Farming comes with long days, sacrifices, and challenges you can’t prepare for — but it also comes with a community unlike any other.
