An EDUCATIONAL and fun experience for the whole family! We are open by appointment only! No animal is ever slaughtered for meat. We accept all credit cards.

Visit us at londondairyalpacas.com to schedule tours and buy tickets for events! LondonDairy Alpaca Ranch has been in existence for over 25 years, and was one of the first alpaca ranches in Wisconsin. The goal is to raise healthy, well-cared for animals for breeding and fiber production, as well as aesthetics and pleasure. The ranch offers guided, interactive, educational one-hour tours booked in advance online and pre-paid via our website. LondonDairy is NOT a petting zoo and children must be closely supervised at all times. Tour fee is $10 plus tax for adults and $8 plus tax for children ages 2-14. The Alpaca Threads Gift and South American W**e store is open by advance appointment or following a tour. Most of the items in the store are made from alpaca fiber. Items featured include sweaters, hats, mittens, gloves, socks, blankets, and scarves.

Fun Fact Friday! ❤️

Eleanore, 10 years old.

“Peace is always beautiful.” - Walt Whitman

When I look at Eleanore, the word “peace” comes to mind. Eleanore is the most peaceful alpaca that we have on the farm. She’s quiet. She’s calm… Except on shot day. Nobody likes pokes! Eleanore is very laid back. She’s very observant. Eleanore has a corner in her pen where she likes to sit. It’s away from the girls that she lives with. It’s a place all her own. If you can’t find Eleanore, she’s usually sitting in that corner. She likes to sit there and watch the world go by.

She’s a very sweet girl. She just likes to do her own thing. She’s a very independent alpaca. She doesn’t need her herd to help her feel comfortable. She’d rather be off on her own, enjoying life. I think we all need to be like Eleanore. We need to sit back, smile, and just breathe. Love you, sweetheart.

What is the first thing you notice about an alpaca? 👀

Their big, beautiful eyes! Did you know alpacas have horizontal pupils? While alpacas are out grazing in the fields, they are able to keep an eye out for predators with the help of these fancy pupils! Their pupils help them detect movement.

Their eyes are also placed on the side of their heads. Unlike cats and dogs, whose eyes are in the front. This eye placement helps them see things from all angles without having to turn their heads very much!

Journey, 4 years old.

If you were to ask me who the sweetest alpaca was on the farm, Journey would come to mind. She’s curious but very gentle. She has the kindest eyes. Something about her personality just makes you feel comfortable, peaceful. She’s always the last one in her group to get a bowl of food. She’s a sensitive soul and she doesn’t want to cause any issues with her friends.

Here’s a little fun fact about our pretty girl. Odyssey is Journey’s mother and Destinati is her father. Both of their names have something to do with travel. So that’s how Journey got her name! Traveling, Journey, you get it? Anywho, thank you for the smiles and calmness that you bring to our farm, Journey. We love you!
