A little late and probably a lack of words that deserve to be said but in my best way to sum it up what a successful fair! So much fun, learning and experience gained! This was Ryders first official year in 4-H as a regular member and to say he rocked it is an understatement. Not only did he exhibit numerous RMB projects, even receiving best in show with his small engine display, he showed market hogs, goats, steers, feeder calves and breeding beef. He was also blessed with the amazing opportunities to help other showman in the ring with their animals showing dairy goats and more feeder calves.
He put the work in this year proudly raising and taking care of his projects absorbing everything he could learn about how to help them grow and we couldn’t be more proud of him.
A few highlights he was blessed with
🌟Grand champion showman in his division for hogs🐷 , Goats 🐐 and Steers 🐮.
🌟Supreme champion Female
🌟Grand Champion Feeder Heifer
🌟Grand Champion homebred Heavyweight steer
🌟Division Grand Champion Goat
🌟Reserve Division 2 hog
More importantly reflecting on fair are the special moments of learning, opportunity and growth the 4-H program provides. Also the incredibly sweet bond of friends that become “show family” is really something special and makes the most memorable of moments that last a lifetime.
Lastly the JR Livestock sale in our county has seriously some of the best supporters out there. A huge thank you, doesn’t even start to touch the gratitude shared, to all of the businesses and families that come together to support these kids and this program.
A special thank you to the businesses that supported Ryder, purchasing his projects.
Waymart Milling for not just purchasing Ryders Steer but also for providing the best customer service and product allowing us to purchase grain to raise his beef cattle.
RTS Truck Center and Case Tire service for purchasing Ryders Pigs.
