The Tyler Creek Farm & Mini Mercantile

The Tyler Creek Farm & Mini Mercantile Tyler Creek Farm was settled by Thomas and Matilda Figgatt in 1780 and is still in the family nine generations later. A labor of love.

Our Mini Mercantile farm stand carries on that legacy with fresh provisions, handmade goods, and the things we grow, bake, and create. Tyler Creek Farm is a Kanawha County Century farm. Established in 1904 the Figgatt family has provided safe and nutritious foods to the community as a way of life.

290 MEMBERS STRONG!!

There are now 290 members that have signed up to be a part of our little Mini Mercantile, and we think that’s exciting!

Thank you for shopping with us, telling your friends about us, sharing our posts and continuing to support our little farm store. We’ve had so much fun with this, and we love seeing how much you all enjoy the Mercantile too.

We especially appreciate your patience when the real life jobs take over and we have to slow our pace or close down for a little bit. It never ceases to amaze me how you all show back up when the doors open back up.

We’re busy making more products, restocking and taking care of some maintenance at the Merc right now. We’ll update everyone as soon as we’re fully ready for fall.

Thank you for making our little red shop such a fun place to have. 🤎

I worked long hours all week and late again tonight, and I’m just wrapping up at 9:45 PM, so I never even made it to the Mercantile today.

As always, my real-world job has to come first, and I truly appreciate your patience and support when life gets a little hectic!

I’ll be cleaning and getting the Mercantile ready in the morning, then baking tomorrow afternoon for Sunday. We WILL have honey available tomorrow afternoon, along with plenty of our other shelf stable products! You can always text or call ahead to double check on products. (my number is on the mercantile sign up confirmation)

Fresh baked goods will be ready Sunday morning! Sweet Bee Nuggets, Cocoa Peanut butter cookie sandwiches, mini cakes, oatmeal cream pies, brownies, Rice Krispy treats and more!

So tomorrow, go see my girl at Jessi Grows Joy Flower Farm & Farmstand and my friends at the South Charleston Farmers Market, then come see us Sunday!

We'll see you at the Merk! Just not tomorrow morning ;)

Real world job has been pretty hectic this week with some website issues, and I've got an abundance of packages to ship, so in an effort to not cause myself any more misery than necessary, we’re giving ourselves extra time.

Heavy duty Berkel PM30 commercial planetary mixer with 30 quart stainless steel bowl. 2003-2005 model

This is a true commercial mixer: Excellent for high volume cottage bakers, bakeries, caterers, restaurants or anyone ready to step up from a smaller mixer.

Yes it runs - and I can send you video of it running but can’t post video and photos in the same post.

• 30 quart capacity, approximately 7.5 gallons
• 1 HP motor
• 110/115V, standard 15 amp outlet
• 3 speeds
• Bowl lift and safety guard
• Stainless steel bowl
• Includes pictured mixing attachments (flat be**er and scraper)
• Commercial grade, heavy duty machine.

Condition: It has plenty of cosmetic wear, chipped paint and signs of commercial use, as shown in the photos. I have not tried to make it pretty. You can see exactly what you’re getting. Exterior needs to be sanded, repainted and sealed, which is reflected in the price. (You can YouTube that!) Selling as pictured.

I bought it from a restaurant on Bridge Road site unseen, only through photos and it was way bigger than what I realized and definitely bigger than what I needed, but it was too late by the time Mr. Fix It brought it home.

We also have a full sized commercial oven you can take free with it. Has all the parts, needs cleaned. No pics because theres a fridge blocking it but I will edit to add the make/model later.

Take both for $650 OBO. (Mixer is worth that alone!)

Sourdough Saturday!

Today is the opening day of Page’s Sourdough stand on Jefferson road, South Charleston. (Beside Ghareeb dental) We had to go get our fix and surprise! Three HUGE sourdough cookies for $5? Yes please!!!

No traffic, huge parking lot, easy in and out! Tell her we sent ya!
