BUSINESS CLOSING
We are sad to announce that we are closing. We will be open this week 12-6 until Friday, or until we sell out. Everything will be CASH ONLY and we will not take any phone or online orders.
Some personal thoughts:
1. Tyler is an awesome community. For five years, you have supported us with your business and encouragement. We have grown to know many of you on a personal level and I consider you my friends. Because of our relationships with you, our business has been full of joy and purpose. Thank you so much for that.
2. Small business is a hard business. You know this, but it’s worth saying again–support your local business. None of them are sitting on a yacht counting their money. They are working alongside their employees and then working many nights and weekends too. They pour their life into their work because it’s not just about the money. But they need the money too…
3. Good employees are worth paying for. One problem we have not had is turnover. My employees are top notch – they care about what they do, they work hard, and that’s invaluable. Closing our business means they no longer have a job, and they are not run of the mill kitchen workers. They all have good skills in other areas as well. If you or someone you know is looking for employees, please contact me privately.
4. Why we are closing. There is not one thing to pin this on. We have simply not been able to stay ahead of the slow, crushing effect of ever increasing costs of everything - rent, utilities, insurance, services, goods. Everyone is feeling this, and we just cannot keep up anymore.
5. The good Lord is in control. This has been a very hard decision and honestly, grief is the best way to describe how I feel. But at the end of the day, I know that the Lord is sovereign in our lives. We do the best we can to make good decisions, and they don’t always go the way we want them to, but He still takes care of us and helps us through the hard times. I hope that if you are going through a hard time, you will also trust Him despite what you see.
May God bless you and your families. I know we will be seeing you around!
