Ok guys I need advice. The algorithm is killing me. I have 4,000+followers and most of them don’t see what I post. Supplies are expensive and it seems like all I am doing is saying “no I don’t do those”.
What I don’t do is
Overcharge: I like to keep my prices affordable
I don’t cancel. Literally hardly ever.
I don’t do orders of less than a dozen cookies unless I am posting extra because honestly the icing is just too expensive.
I don’t do printed images. The printer is $2000 and honestly the cookies taste nasty.
I don’t do the super intricate Pinterest cookies that are $93 a dozen (I have priced them).
Exact logos: those are printed, I do mine by hand so some things I just cant do.
I don’t take orders a day or two in advance because they actually take planning and several days notice.
What I do:
I am the most dependable person ever. I will not cancel on you unless I actively have a fever. I will deliver cookies in an ice storm. When tornado sirens go off I am probably still decorating cookies. I have iced cookies in the dark with no power. I have still done orders for people that have lost jobs and tried to cancel at no charge. I will be one step ahead of any virus my son brings home so that you do have cookies for your event.
I will stay up until 3 am when needed to take as many orders as possible.
I feel like my cookies have gotten much cuter over time because those old ones, let me tell you, were ugly.
I can’t always make everyone happy but I honestly feel like my cookies are super cute, very affordable and actually taste good.
