Between time on the rd meeting people and With all the rain and the fact that my lawn looks like we gave up on living🤣
I have not had time or a spot to take new photos.
But I decided to share anyway because there are a few travel meet ups options next week.
These are the 3 boys that are left .
I have them significantly reduced… these boys are gentle and sweet and just looking for new humans.

This year has been the hardest I’ve ever been through emotionally and physically.
Even now I can’t bring myself to share all of the bad things that have happened this year.
But I started planting some flowers in my garden around where my dogs are buried and other places for extra beauty .
And it helps… sometimes I just pick a rose and breathe in the fragrance. 💜
We do plan to have a few puppies this summer /fall but over all keeping it simple for awhile.
I’ll be retiring some dogs and taking some much needed mental and physical health self care.
Pray that I can find answers for my health and follow through with taking care of myself and run this place.

Hey everyone, I am on the search to find Miss Penny a new home.
She’s a Shep and Shelby daughter
Penny’s owner passed away and she has been here with us for a few months decompressing.
But the time has come for us to find her a new home but there are some very specific requirements as Penny has some quirks and at seven years old I will not entertain someone who thinks they’re going to reverse those behaviors.
- No Cats
- No other dogs , she will try to keep other dogs away from her person.
- No kids under 12
- Penny must be an inside dog and she is housebroken and knows how to use a dog door, but she gets anxiety if you pen her outside by herself.
- You must allow her to get on the couch .
- she does have some training but her job was to take care of her person.
So we are looking for a home that does not expect her to go out in public every day and socialize with people and other dogs.
Some socializing is OK but should not be expected on a regular basis .
Ideally, I’d love to find someone who is single because Penny was used to having a one on one relationship and not sharing her person .
She will be seven years old at the end of the month and she really is a lovely companion for someone needing a friend and an excellent house dog .
She really is a love bug, but the above things are super important and I will not consider any other type of home.

It’s been a long hard week and the bad news came in threes… but we continue to put one foot in front of the other as we recognize sometimes that this is what farming is about. 😢 ❤️‍🩹
But on a positive note , Lots of babies have gone home.., we have a bunch of happy families.
Please be smart as the summer heat picks up and Miss Trouble says that you can always cool off in the cow tub if it gets to be to much !!!😅

Jacks final resting place… beside his daddy… a spot that I had picked out long ago when I thought he would never survive blasto… but we had him for a little more than seven years after that .., I’m so grateful for the extra years.
I chose yellow flowers because to me they speak friendship and loyalty … yes he was my child and I was his mama, but I don’t think that I’ve ever had a dog who was so loving, but also so invested in keeping those he loved safe.
The tears flow at times, but I am relieved that he’s no longer suffering .. of all the dogs that I’ve owned. I think Jack has touched more lives than any other!
He has made so many people fall in love with border collies … and so many of his kids and grandkids have the same wonderful traits.
His name means God is gracious, and his life truly is a testament to the goodness of God.
Jack your memory and your story will live on
In the lives of many and you will be remembered .
We love you and miss you!
That’ll do Jack… you did so much good in the world and we are grateful! ♥️

Cool Meadows Jack
5-19-2010 to June 8, 2026
after a very hard weekend, I made the decision to let Jack go today … 💔💔
Jack endured far more than most dogs ever go through with his blasto diagnosis and all the struggles that he’s gone through since that point, including going blind !
As his mama, I knew it was time because waiting would only be asking him to suffer more and I couldn’t do that .. we want to thank especially Dr. Williams who diagnosed Jack with Blasto and then gave him supportive care and also helped him go to sleep for the final time.
Jack and I had such a sweet and loyal relationship.., I saved his life, and then he saved mine.
Rest easy Jack … We love you BIG!
Go join Lainey and play some ball … Your parents
Bonzo and Sally … your brother graphite.
And your beautiful daughter, Nova , and some of your grandkids !
You were the dog that taught me how extremely loving border collies could be .
And I am forever, grateful to be able to be your mom and for the long legacy of dogs that you produced that brought so much love and joy to so many people !

Today we had an AKC kennel inspection…
The AKC representative said… this is the nicest border collie farm that I ever been to.
Your dogs are so happy , content , very clean and healthy and clearly spoiled !
When she went to see the puppies, she was amazed at how well mannered they were how they weren’t screaming for attention or skittish .
She said I often go into Puppy rooms where it’s so noisy and chaotic that I can’t think.
Your babies are very obviously well taken care of and I’m so impressed how clean they are and the way they use the litter boxes!
The truth is though that we don’t do any of this for an inspection. We do it every day because we love our dogs and having space to run and play and be happy is so important to me. !
I am really grateful for the affirmation that we are doing a great job !
And we are grateful for all of you that love our babies as much as we do !
