UPDATE 04/17: He has found his new home!

Looking for his new home!
No fault of his own. We got a full calf crop from him, got all the cows bred back to him, and are wanting to switch genetics since we’re keeping all of his heifers.

Purebred Gelbvieh
2.5 years old; DOB 10/1/23 and has been in the breeding pasture since he was about 14 months

Extremely docile; was a show bull the first year of his life; you can pet him, especially if you have range cubes; he’ll even eat them out of your hand

100% grass fed since turned out to pasture (other than a handful of range cubes occasionally)

We have been very happy with his calves and are keeping all of his heifers!

Today is Cow Appreciation Day and we are so thankful for some of the ones we’ve had at JAM’N Acres and throughout the years!

We wrapped up Dixie Nationals with the open show yesterday.
- Macey showed Cricket who won 1st in her class and Champion of the Gelbvieh spring heifer calf division
- Joseph showed Collaboration who won 3rd in her Gelbvieh class
- Anna showed Loretta who won 1st in her Balancer class

Joseph and Sadie (also a MS Gelbvieh Jr) have won several scholarships in the last few months:
- MS Cattlemen’s Association scholarship
- Sale of Junior Champions scholarship
- The Marty Langston Memorial scholarship

And a line from his essay was quoted in the program for the Sale of Junior Champions scholarship banquet!

Dixie Nationals Day 2 results:

- Loretta: 2nd place in late summer yearling heifers all other breeds non-Brahman
- Cricket: 1st place in Gelbvieh winter heifer calves
- Collaboration: 2nd in Gelbvieh early senior heifer calves
- Midnight: 1st in Brangus Junior heifer calves

We didn’t bring home in champions or reserves this year, but we still had a great time and did well.

Dixie nationals day 1 was showmanship. Joseph placed 10th overall in the 17 year old division. There was 4 heats of 10-12 kids in each heat, so he did pretty well!

- Loretta (Balancer): 1st in Non-Brahman AOB Senior heifer calves class

- Cricket (Gelbvieh): 1st in Gelbvieh winter heifer calves class & RESERVE CHAMPION GELBVIEH FEMALE

- Collaboration (Gelbvieh): 1st in Gelbvieh early senior heifer calves class
