Sturgeon Creek Farm

Sturgeon Creek Farm Sturgeon Creek Farm is a mostly organic/natural farm. We sell natural square bale hay, pasture eggs, poultry, and goat milk products. What does this mean?

Sturgeon Creek Farm takes pride in being a mostly organic farm. We use an ABSOLUTE minimum of chemicals to maintain operations. This means only the use of fly spray in the barn, and occasionally on our horses to provide pest relief. We do not use any chemical fertilizers, chemical w**d killers, or any other chemicals that come in contact with our hay, eggs, and poultry. Our chickens, ducks, and tu

rkeys are pasture ranging and fed a standard commercial ration (we'd rather feed all organic, but the cost is outrageous!) on top of feed, they are free to roam about the property finding bugs, worms, flies, and grubs. We usually have square bale hay on hand all year. Eggs are plentiful from spring to fall, and in the next few months, we hope to be expanding our operations to include poultry sales. We have Jersey Giant chickens (meat and egg producers) Slate Runner Ducks (excellent bug eaters!) and Royal Palm turkeys (a heritage breed known for tasty meat). So if you're in southeastern Kentucky in the Jackson County area, come see us! If you have young kids, check out "Sevy the Duck" written about a young duckling hatched and reared on our farm. http://www.amazon.com/Sevy-Duck-K-Rowe-ebook/dp/B00T38VAN6/ref=tmm_kin_swatch_0?_encoding=UTF8&sr=8-1&qid=1436373642
