An adventure to TCF!

We had the pleasure of hosting a special group of visitors last week. The Huntington County Child & Adult Development Corporation brought their Head Start Preschool class for a farm tour. The children were thrilled to meet our cows, sheep, cats, chickens, horses, and dogs. A highlight of the day was watching Farmer George’s border collie, Tyne, demonstrate how he herds sheep. It was a fantastic day filled with hands-on farm fun!

❤️🌎 Happy Earth Day! 🌎 ❤️

Since April is the month to celebrate Earth, we assembled our best earth warriors for garbage grabbing fun. Our team covered a lot of ground and gathered many bags of trash.

Earth Day clean up is a great spring tradition that we share with family, friends, and neighbors. TCF has participated in this annual event for 13 years! 🙌

Please join us in celebrating Earth Day today, April 22, 2026. Even a small action can be effective!

Our puppies have arrived!

Last week, our Border Collie, Maggie, had 6 healthy puppies. We have 4 females and 2 males. These pups are being raised in a loving family environment, where our children and grandchildren handle them daily to ensure they are well socialized. They are already deeply loved.

Our goal is to sell these pups to loving, active homes where they will thrive. If interested please message, text, or call for more information. We are happy to share pedigree charts upon request. Contact George Lake at 814-937-5312 or Laura Lake at 814-931-1494.

For information on the parents of these pups, please refer to our previous post.

Owning and training a dog is a rite of passage in the Lake family. 😉

Bringing the flock home from Fulcomer Farm takes two people and two dogs. This 3-mile walk turned into a wonderful learning experience for our grandson, Evan, and his dog, Maggie. George and his dog, Chase, proved to be patient and excellent teachers along the way. Great hands on learning, practice, and refinement were happening here- not to mention the most important, irreplaceable part: quality time spent together. What an amazing and talented team!

Note: This event took place early in Maggie’s pregnancy when she was still permitted to have regular exercise.
