📣 An Important Announcement from Captain Deez
This Friday will be Captain Deez's final day of operation.
First and foremost, we want to thank our incredible community for your loyal support over the past three years. You have kept our little food truck busy, and we are truly grateful for your business, friendship, and encouragement along the way.
We think it is important to understand that Captain Deez is not closing because of a lack of customers or community support. Quite the opposite! Your support has exceeded our expectations. The reality is that between our full-time jobs, operating McCarty's Bar, and managing the food truck, we simply took on more than we could realistically manage long-term.
We have also been blessed with an amazing crew. We couldn't have asked for a better customer service representative and sous chef than Jacob, and Reyna has been an outstanding and dependable cook who has worked tirelessly to help make Captain Deez a success.
While serving great food has been rewarding, the behind-the-scenes responsibilities of operating a food truck—including permits, licensing, insurance, payroll, ordering, inventory management, marketing, and food waste control—have added significantly to our workload.
Now for the good news...
🍔 The food isn't going anywhere!
We are excited to announce that Terped Out Kitchen will be joining McCarty's Bar as our permanent food truck partner.
Terped Out Kitchen has been voted a Best of Lake & Mendocino County award winner for the past three years and is known for its fresh, locally sourced ingredients and delicious homemade sauces.
This transition will also bring some exciting benefits, including:
• DoorDash availability
• Expanded operating hours in the future
• Improved phone and online ordering
• Additional staffing to better serve customers
We are confident that Terped Out Kitchen will be a fantastic addition to McCarty's Bar, and we hope you'll give them the same warm welcome and support you've shown us.
