The Umapine Creamery

The Umapine Creamery Farmstead fresh and aged cheeses from pastured Jersey, Holstein and Milking Shorthorn cows. The rest has been trial and error.

The Umapine Creamery was started in 2012 by Yvonne and Brent Carroll who are long time dairy farmers (40+years). Yvonne learned to make cheese from other cheese makers and at OSU cheese making classes. Yvonne has truly become and artisan farmstead cheese maker. Our son Tyler and daughter in law Eric run the dairy operations now since our sale in 2016. Now Yvonne and Brent make cheese and help rais

e our grandchildren Tripp and Scout. But our success comes from green grass, great cows, fresh milk, tasty cheeses and great customers.

Our Story

The Umapine Creamery was started in 2012 by Yvonne and Brent Carroll who are long time dairy farmers (40+years). Yvonne learned to make cheese from other cheese makers and at OSU cheese making classes. The rest has been trial and error. Yvonne has truly become and artisan farmstead cheese maker. Our son Tyler and daughter in law Erica owns our dairy now (sold to them in 2016), in addition they have operated their dairy for the past 15 years. Now Yvonne and Brent make cheese and help raise our grandchildren Tripp and Scout. We are also proud parents of Kris Carroll and his wife Lacey. Kris has made a career in the army and Lacey is an EMT/Firefighter (very proud of their service) But our success comes from green grass, great cows, fresh milk, tasty cheeses and great customers.
