Cattle Hand / Equipment operator / Pesticide Applicator /general labor on Blueberry, Citrus, Hay, Cattle and General property grounds. Workers typically perform a variety of tasks, which may include any combination of the following: Tractor driving, tending to cattle, hauling, mowing, trimming, planting, watering, digging, raking, chemical applications and assistance with harvest/packing season.
Immediate Opening: these are full-time permanent year round openings to be part of our core group member.
DUTIES & ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Operate Heavy Equipment, tractors, mowers, forklifts, hauling, etc.
Perform grounds keeping including assisting in construction projects.
Operate powered equipment, such as mowers, tractors, ATV's, blowers, edgers, w**d eaters, hedgers and chemical applicators.
Maintain and care for established crops by mulching, w**ding, hedging, pruning, and irrigation repair.
Use hand tools, such as shovels, rakes, pruning saws, saws, hedge or brush trimmers or machete.
Prune or trim trees, bushes, or brush, using shears, pruners, or chain saws.
Land Clearing.
Gather or remove litter.
Plant resets or new plantings, ground covers, trees, or shrubs.
Clean equipment and storage areas.
Grounds maintenance work is done outdoors in all kinds of weather. Must be able to work in extreme heat or cold. The work can be repetitive and physically demanding, requiring frequent bending, lifting, and shoveling.
Regularly required to stand; walk; crouch; stoop or kneel.
May need to regularly lift and/or move up to 80 pounds.
Assist in caring for cattle, feed, forage rotation, hay, worming, fly control, calf care.
All other duties assigned for farm, ranch, land maintenance.
QUALIFICATIONS
1 Year or more prior experience in farming or ranching, and heavy equipment operating.
High school or higher level education preferred.
Must be dependable and hard working.
Able to work in ever changing weather conditions.
Must be able to pass a background and drug test.

REQUIRED LICENSES/HOURS OF WORK
Valid Driver’s License State of Florida
Monday through Friday, start and end times vary depending on organizational needs. Weekend work may be required. Occasionally required to work overnight hours for chemical applications. Will be required to work additional hours during blueberry harvest season (March-May).
Job Site Conditions
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, outside weather (heat or cold), and moving mechanical equipment. In addition, job sites are located on both residential and commercial property.
