🐝🍯 A NOTE ABOUT OUR HONEY 🍯🐝

Due to some recent confusion regarding our honey and how it is produced, we feel it is important to take a moment to clarify exactly what you are getting when you purchase a jar of honey from Meadowlands Family Farm.

We own our bees. We manage our hives. We harvest our honey. We personally extract and bottle the honey we sell.

From the time our bees collect nectar until the finished jar reaches you, we know where our honey has been and how it has been handled.

Our raw honey is never pasteurized. We do not dilute it with corn syrup, sugar syrup, water, or any other sweetener or filler.

And there is one thing we especially want to clarify:

WE DO NOT ADD FLAVORING TO OUR HONEY.

When you see varieties such as Blackberry, Blueberry, Cranberry, Vetch, Star Thistle, or Wildflower on our jars, those are not added flavors.

Those names describe the primary nectar source our bees were working when that honey was produced.

🐝 The bees make the flavor. We don't.

Blackberry honey tastes different from Vetch honey because blackberry blossoms produce different nectar than vetch blossoms. Cranberry honey has its own distinctive characteristics because the bees are working cranberry blossoms. The same is true for every varietal honey we produce.

There are no flavor oils, extracts, syrups, artificial flavors, or other ingredients added to our pure raw honey. The different colors, aromas, consistencies, and flavors are created naturally by the flowers and the bees.

Real honey is a natural agricultural product. It isn't supposed to be identical from one floral variety—or even one harvest—to another.

Depending on the nectar source, honey can be light or dark, delicate or strongly flavored, thick or relatively thin. Some varieties crystallize quickly, while others can naturally remain liquid for a very long time.

Those differences aren't something we manufacture. They're nature.

We're proud to be able to tell our customers exactly where our honey comes from because we're there for the entire process—from caring for the bees to putting the honey in the jar.

🐝 Our bees. Our hives. Our harvest. Our honey. 🍯

100% pure honey.
No added flavoring.
No syrups.
No fillers.
Nothing added.

🍯 Just what nature and the bees made it. 🐝

Samples are always available of our honey. So many believe "honey is honey"
Which I will be thrilled to show you firsthand, is simply not true.
Our varieties all have their own taste and sometimes color as well.

Stop by and ask for some samples!
