honor system. A little bit about Paul, Hana and Down Home Acres... A small scale sustainable and ecologically sound farm.

We strive to improve the health of our soil by adding compost and aged manures, cover cropping and field crop rotation. Our river bottom land has high mineral levels which is one of the many reasons why our vegetables are so full of flavor and nutrition! We love the taste old-time heirloom tomatoes! Did you know we grow over 50 varieties of tomatoes? Ranging from the delicious heirloom brandywine to the super sweet sungold cherry tomato. We also have an obsession with KALE! Drive by our farm and you will see fields of kale..purple kale, green kale, tuscan kale, baby kale, micro kale...you name it, we grow it.

Regretfully all of our Sunday markets in NYC were canceled today due to the severe storms moving in. (Stay safe NYC) We will see you next week, NYC. Today at the farm-stand we are FULLY stocked up bc we harvested for a huge market and couldn’t go- that means more for you locally. Come and get your sweet corn! 🌽🌽🌽

Thursday Farmstand update: head lettuce is back!! Fresh salad greens, we are picking in a new crop of sweet corn and it’s so sweet and delicious, tomatoes, carrots, cauliflower, eggs and so much more! We are harvesting fresh dug potatoes , carrots, winter squashes daily so stop in by for new varieties.
