We take in unwanted animals such as horses, dogs, cats, chickens, ducks and last but not least goats. Horses that were bound for slaughter find a safe place to call home here, be it a long term "forever" home or just a stop over on their new life journey. Other animals have come to Thames Crest Farm by no fault of their own. Here at Thames Crest Farm they all find comfort, patience, full bellies
and most of all love. Lots of love. An emotion and feeling some have never felt or been given before. They all have a story, a history. Some histories we know some we'll never know. We work hard to help them overcome their fears and aggressions, while also letting them decompress and get comfortable. Life has not been kind to many of the animals that end up or pass through here. Some have health issues that will eventually end their lives. When their time here on earth is through we will be with them, hugging them and telling them how much they were loved. When the spark in their eyes is gone, its then that we cry. We cry for them, the others that left us before them and the ones that have yet to come. We hold steadfast to our efforts, learn from our mistakes and challenges, and always have room for another, even if we don't. Somehow we always figure it out. We are Thames Crest Farm, just this side of heaven.
