Update on our LGD puppy. She is getting SO big! She has been helping watch the birds and learning to cool down in her kiddie pool. Lilly is making it all fun playing with her in the water. Luna is absolutely loving her life! They are walking the property together so she learns where our area is. And she LOVES coming in to see me when she gets up and before bed! Unfortunately that includes scratches on my arms because Luna gets so excited and just doesn't realize how big and strong she has gotten. She runs faster than Lilly can!

My Lilly has saved her money from selling eggs to buy ducks last year. This year she got herself a LGD (livestock guardian dog) puppy!

Introducing Miss Luna to the family. She has been following Lilly around today checking on the chicks and and other birds. She got introduced to cats since she will be inside at least at night until she is bigger. And she got a bath! Lilly paid for her, her food, and collar. I am proud of my girl!

This is what you do when you support farm/homestead families. Lilly is starting to do her our accounting (with my help) and will still be selling eggs and will be starting to sell meat birds too (chicken, duck, and goose). Please continue to support her as she learns and grows her small business.

My "bird girl" (Lilly) lost part of her flock due to dogs a few weeks ago. We got some new babies in today and added some turkeys too from Kat's work.

Lilly has been our main bird keeper for several years now and she is working on taking over the bird part of our homestead fully (with mom just supervising and helping where needed). We have limited eggs for sale due to dog attack, but she is hoping to build it up by next spring! She will also have ducks, turkeys, chickens, and a few geese available for sale (not babies and ready to go in oven status).
