🚨 LET’S SHOW UP FOR A GREAT CAUSE THIS SATURDAY! 🚨

One of the best parts about being in the food truck world is the people you meet along the way. We’ve been lucky enough to become friends with some pretty awesome folks — and Mister Rick’s Pretzels and Smash Hut NEPA are two of them!

This Saturday, August 29th, they’ll be at REV FOR GREG at the Grattan Singer Hose Company in Simpson, PA, helping support a great cause. ❤️

🥨 Mister Rick’s Pretzels will be slinging those fresh soft pretzels and pretzel sandwiches.

🍔 SmashHut will be there doing what they do best and keeping everybody fed!

And if you like some horsepower with your food, bring it on out! 🏁🔥

There’s something pretty special about the food truck circuit. ❤️

From the outside, people see the trucks, the food, the lines and the events. What they don’t always see are the people behind it all.

We may have different names on our trailers and different food coming out of our windows, but at the end of the day, we’re all out here doing the same thing — working long hours, sweating our asses off, helping each other when something breaks, sharing a laugh when we’re exhausted, and somehow showing up the next day ready to do it all over again.

Over time, the people parked beside you stop being “other vendors” and start becoming friends… and in a lot of ways, family.

There’s enough room out here for all of us to succeed, and we’re damn grateful to be surrounded by some truly wonderful, hardworking people.

The food truck life isn’t always easy, but the people make it worth it.

Here’s to the friendships made between the smoke, grease, long days, late nights and a whole lot of good food. 🍖🔥❤️

And a HUGE shoutout to our fellow food-family at the fair: we could not have made it through the whole week without the food, and the laughs!!

🍔 Smash Hut — proving that a cheeseburger can, in fact, solve most of life’s problems.

🥨 Mister Rick’s Pretzels — because we all need deliciousness to survive a week at the fair.

🌮 FonDippity — bringing the tacos and making it dangerously easy to “just get one more.”

And of course, THANK YOU, HARFORD FAIR, for having us back and giving us another unforgettable week surrounded by some of the best people around.

We came, we served approximately eleventy-billion drinks, laughed until our faces hurt, got rained on, got caffeinated, got a little weird… and we wouldn’t change a thing. 😂

Until next year, Harford… stay thirsty, stay hungry, and keep being the amazing bunch of jerks you are. 🥤❤️

As we finally catch our breath after another incredible Harford Fair, there’s one thing we keep coming back to: how grateful we are to be a part of it. ❤️

Are we tired? Absolutely.
Are our feet sore? You bet.
Did we probably smell like brisket and smoke for an entire week? Definitely. 😂🔥

But we wouldn’t trade it.

The Harford Fair is so much more than just a fair. It’s a tradition. It’s agriculture. It’s families, friendships, 4-H, local businesses, volunteers, exhibitors, and generations of people coming together year after year.

And what many people may not realize is just how much the Harford Fair gives back. From scholarships and opportunities for our local youth to supporting agriculture and investing in future generations to come, the impact of this fair reaches far beyond those few days in August.

To the Fair Board, staff, volunteers, exhibitors, vendors, first responders, grounds crews, and everyone behind the scenes—you put an unbelievable amount of work into making this happen, and Poppy’s Smoke Shack is proud to be a small part of it.

And to every single person who stopped at our window, waited in line, tried something new, came back for seconds, shared a laugh with us, or told a friend to come find us—THANK YOU. Your support means more to our little locally owned business than you know.

We’re tired.
We’re beat.
The smoker needs a break.
And so do we. 😂

But our hearts—and probably a few bellies—are full.

Thank you, Harford Fair, for everything you do for this community. We sure are proud to be a part of something this special. ❤️🔥🐷

Day 3 of the Harford Fair and we’re so excited to see what the rest of the week holds! 🎡

We are knot your average sandwich and will leave you wanting more! But don’t get it twisted, our pretzels are salty and satisfying too!🥨

Here are some other tasty options if you are craving some of that DELICIOUS fair food!
