"How much sod do I actually need?" 🤔
It is the #1 question we get from Kenosha to Rockford, and from Milwaukee to Chicago! Getting the right count prevents mid-project hardware store runs or paying for turf you don't need.
Good news: You don't need to be a math genius to measure your yard like a pro! Just follow this simple blueprint:
1️⃣ Break it Down: Divide your yard into basic shapes (rectangles, squares, or triangles).
2️⃣ Do the Math: Measure the length and width of each section in feet. Multiply them together to get the square footage (Length $\times$ Width = Sq. Ft.).
3️⃣ The Safety Buffer: Always add a 5% to 10% safety buffer to your final number. This accounts for cutting around curved landscape beds, walkways, and angles!
Got a tricky, irregular yard design with lots of curves? Don't stress the geometry. 📐
