It's a sad day at Chinquapin Ridge. We picked up a very sick alpaca this morning. In spite of his owners' best efforts, (and they did absolutely everything that was ask of them by their vet, their mentor, and SELR), he passed before we got him to our farm. Rest well, sweet boy, and pronk high. So sad for the owners' first alpaca experience, and hoping they can recover and move forward to happier alpaca days.

Took these two boys on a test run in the van today, in preparation for their move to new homes. Though they didn't quite relax during the 20 minute drive, no spit was experienced, so we're hopeful for an uneventful trip on Saturday.
