I’ve been getting the question a lot lately, “how’s the farming going?!”
My answer is always, “Fun..but busy.” And truthfully some days the growing pains feel bigger than the progress 😅 Starting chicken farming is not the easiest thing we’ve ever done to say the least. We’ve made so many mistakes, faced setbacks, unknowns, had a lot of long hot days and late nights like this one chasing after success. But the struggles are just part of it how it goes. That’s the busy side of it.
The fun side though. Whew! 🥹 hearing the giggles and seeing the smiles of our girls running through the hose pipe while we refill water buckets. Cracking jokes and spending quality time with my husband building another chicken tractor at 10pm (date night am I right?) 😅 seeing small moments of success and knowing we’ve made it over one more hurdle. It takes a lot of patience, perseverance, and maybe just a touch of crazy. But getting to chase after a dream together is where the reward is at for me.
We are still growing, still learning, constantly failing and asking ourselves, “have we lost our minds?” But we keep coming back for more. Honestly because the joy of building something we love makes all the challenges worth it! So…how’s chicken farming going? Fun..but busy 😁
