I took this picture 2 days ago while delivering water to the cows.

That's quite a baby bump. As of this morning, we are still waiting for it to arrive. Poor mom.

One of the neighborhood kiddos is somewhat convinced she will have twins. Let's hope not.

We had a visit from Dr. Whitehouse at Annabessacook Veterinary on Tuesday to check on Miss Willow. She's been acting like a donkey, but definitely gotten a little thin over the summer.

Dr. Whitehouse looked her all over, check vitals, drew blood and took a stool sample back to the clinic for further testing.

Now we wait for some results. Meanwhile, both got a fresh bale of hay and a few to many carrots for dinner.

Mr. Weasley was not a fan of being separated from Willow after the vet visit. There was a little foot stomping going on in both pens.

Hoping they come up with a treatment soon. Cooler temps are coming soon.

Two more new faces were added to the herd last week. Maple gave us a sharp looking little bull and J10 gave us a nice dunn heifer. That makes 14 so far this year.

All are doing well and getting used to their daily routine on farm. Hoping that's a start to a busy fall calving season.

When you stop by your favorite Farmer's Market and shop the whole Market, you get to eat like a king and queen. Green Meadow Farm pork tenderloin and wholesome locally grown veggies equal a great meal.

When you have a new smoker and you need something to break it in, why not try some "extra thick" Green Meadow Farm country style ribs?

Come beat the heat and hang out at Snow Marine Park in Rockland with the Rockland Farmers' Market crew. We promise some great Market vendors, a nice breeze and a great view.

Made a little trip to the Rockland Post Office yesterday and picked up these little nuggets. All arrived alive. Thats a good start. Looking forward to getting these guys out on pasture is 6 weeks.

It's hard to believe Thanksgiving is only 16 weeks away. My favorite holiday. Family, friends and good food. The perfect combination to a good day.

This Sunday, July 26th, is Maine Open Farm Day. Our neighbors, Brae Maple Farm, located at 233 North Union Road, have invited us to join them as a vendor this year. Come learn about gardening from master gardeners, see wood turning with Lanny Dean, spinning of wool, amazing flower and vegetable gardens, delicious drinks and snacks, and meet Weaser and Willow (our 2 donkeys) of Green Meadow Farm. Lots of fun for all ages.
