I thought being pregnant with humans was long and sometimes nerve-racking. I'm starting to think cow pregnancies might be a close second.

I am starting to get impatient. I mean there is NO MORE ROOM- they are HUGE!

I feel like a helicopter Moo-Mom. Constantly checking who is nesting, who is moodier than normal, who is swelling in the right places, who is hanging out by themselves, who is bagging up, monitoring and identifying fluids that come out of places blah, blah, blah.

I am grateful my neighbors can't see me checking those body parts. I am thankful my friends don't mind looking at those "parts" in the dozens of weekly pictures. I am also grateful that we have a great vet.

I'm double checking the "overnight" bag with all the essentials in case of an emergency. I've stopped watching calving videos because I can't deal with triplets or some of the crazy off the wall videos people post. There is a fine line between being prepared and educated and well- everything else. I'm reminding myself that the babies will be here when they are ready. In the meantime, we will enjoy checking kicks and watching summersaults.

Next time around I am keeping better dates and learning how to use the ultrasound machine. I think I am the moody heifer that has been doing all the nesting and needs a good night sleep.
