This is my front door. If you look behind the rooster tail you will see a pretty little moss and vine covered bird nest built by a house finch. The nest is deep and the first time I looked, there were 7 tiny little red speckled eggs. Now there’s only 4 eggs in the nest. We’re trying to avoid using this door because every time it’s opened, the mama bird shoots out and I’m afraid she’s going to end up in my house. I can’t wait for the babies to hatch out, but I love to hear the daddy bird sing.

From their first night in the bathroom brooder to their first day out in the big brooder. The little magpie duckies seem pretty happy. This is my first experience with ducks and I was unprepared for the amount of water they go through and the mess that 6 tiny creatures could make. 😳😂🦆
