Union Hill Vineyard LLC Union Hill Vineyard, established in 2008, is located in Union, Nebraska. Currently we grow Brianna, Chambourcin and Frontenac grapes for making wine.

We are looking for a group or organization to help with our fall Chambourcin grape harvest. Harvest will be a Saturday in late September or early October.

Guaranteed minimum $800 for several hours of work.

No experience or tools needed. Snacks and water provided.

After weeks of pruning and preparing for a productive season disaster struck the vineyard Saturday, May 2nd. A hard frost killed approximately 50% of the primary shoots on our Frontenac grapes and 25% of our Brianna grapes. The Chambourcin grapes are just emerging from bud break so they had minimal damage.

Secondary buds on Frontenac can be fruitful so hopefully some will push out to replace the damaged primary shoots and help minimize our crop loss.

Going to be a down year regardless. Getting harder and harder to stay in business. Buy more Nebraska made wines and encourage your family and friends to do likewise.

Harvest went well this moring. Thanks to family, friends and the MUS Battle Blue 12u baseball team for their hard work.

Our grapes went to the Cellar 426 winery in Ashland. Be sure and visit them often.

Thanks to Capital View Winery in Lincoln and Cellar 426 Winery in Ashland for buying our Frontenac grapes . Unfortunately our crop was down about 2 tons from normal. Hoping to bounce back next year.

Next harvest will be October 4th for our Chambourcin. It will be a fund raiser for MUS Battle Blue 12U baseball team.
