After loosing half of of our Fontenac crop to a late Spring frost we lost the remainder due to some type of disease. I'll be working with a viticulture expert to help determine the root cause since we've never experienced this before.

Hopefully there will be no issues with our Chambourcin harvest in a few weeks. This harvest will be a fund raiser for the Lincoln BEleve Dance Company booster club.

We are looking for a group or organization to help with our fall Chambourcin grape harvest. Harvest will be a Saturday in late September or early October.

Vineyard is located at 701 S12th St, Union Nebraska

Guaranteed minimum $1000 for several hours of work.

No experience or tools needed. Snacks and water provided.

After weeks of pruning and preparing for a productive season disaster struck the vineyard Saturday, May 2nd. A hard frost killed approximately 50% of the primary shoots on our Frontenac grapes and 25% of our Brianna grapes. The Chambourcin grapes are just emerging from bud break so they had minimal damage.

Secondary buds on Frontenac can be fruitful so hopefully some will push out to replace the damaged primary shoots and help minimize our crop loss.

Going to be a down year regardless. Getting harder and harder to stay in business. Buy more Nebraska made w**es and encourage your family and friends to do likewise.
