Final edit: class has filled up, look forward to teaching some critical skills on Sunday. Next opportunity will be in 6-8 weeks
Second edit: currently have 6 confirmed students with enough sanity/birds for up to two more.
Edited to add price of $35 per student
Posting for our next poultry processing class to be held on Sunday after church.
It’s time to teach some vital homesteading skills again.
I will be processing a batch of phatties like the examples in the pic (minus the Easter egger girl hiding from the yard Roos) and several heritage breed Roos. I have enough sanity to keep up with eight students and am open to a small number of “guest” participants that you will be able to take back after the class, pm to discuss.
This is a great opportunity to learn some very useful skills, learn about the anatomy of a chicken and take a bird home for future dinner. I’ll have some light snacks and drinks available and extra birds will be available for $5, $10, or $15 depending on size.
Processing will start after church around 1 and continue until we run out of light or birds.
Each student will need to plan on being there for 3ish hours to see all the parts of the process. All you need to bring is work clothes, a favorite knife if you have one, a chair if you have a preferred one, and a cooler with ice for your bird(s) going home with you.
We can take payment by card (square app), cashapp, Venmo, or cash. Early payment is always appreciated. Please comment for any questions and pm to reserve spots and to arrange payment and get the address.
