Our tipping and mixing bay is a simple three sided containment area. It's where all material enters our site and the compost process starts. Here is a "fresh" load of food waste. It is tipped from the truck then mixed with older waste and wood before being covered with fresh wood to keep the smell down and the birds out. From the bay all material heads out to a windrow in the field.

Who needs a drone when you have a 20' wood chip pile! Here you can see the migration of a compost pile. On the left where the ground is dark is where the windrow use to be. We turn it over weekly to mix all of the material together.

Dishman McGinnis Elementary of BGISD has been composting with us for over two years. Today we had the opportunity to give back finished compost. We have plenty of photos here of what they send to us. It is amazing to see what it is able to be turned in to!
