Looking to hire a calibration technician.
The ideal candidate will have a wide range of responsibilities including maintenance, repair, and calibration of scales and weighing equipment. The successful candidate will be a problem solver who is responsive to customers' needs and an out of the box technician.
Responsibilities
· Complete and turn in field reports that capture all time and work completed on site
· Provide diagnostic analysis, repair, or preventative maintenance to customers
· Complete on-site system audits and evaluations
· Practice and adhere to all safety and training
· Installation, Inspection, calibration and repair of scales and weighing systems. The job would require you to lift 50 lb. weights, sometimes quite a bit. We may put 1000 lbs. of 50 lb. weights on a scale 5 or 6 times and go to another one and do that several times in a day. Not every day is like that, but some are. We also service small lab scales or bench scales and you will only be using a few lbs. or a few grams, so it varies a bit. Applicant must be somewhat fit and healthy enough to lift such weight on a daily basis.
Qualifications
· Strong written and verbal communication skills
· 1+ years' installing and maintaining machines. We will train.
· Ability to travel, including to just across the border into Mexico. NO overnight stays in Mexico, all overnight hotel stays will be in the US.
· Ability to repeatedly lift up to 100 pounds. We often have to put 1000 lbs. (or more) of 50 lbs. test weights on a scale. Basic electronics knowledge, able to use a DMM
· Clean driving record.
