Finally home from the Virginia Dairy Goat Show! What a fun day! A super long one, but a great one ! The day, the people, the beautiful goats, the venue and the smiles were all worth the drive 😁 We were stoked to bring home two new permanent champions! It was also awesome to show among friends and celebrate their wins, as well as make new friends! A special shout out goes to Hillview Toggenburgs with their show debut of their dynamite 2 year old with a reserve win! And getting a leg on two different juniors! (One being a Hillview to boot!!!!!). And our human kids showing their goats ! ! 🤣 A special thank you to family ! What an awesome family to meet! Their daughter Bailey soaked in the day and hopefully learned a ton and had fun....and even got her first rosette !!!At only her second show !!! What a groovy kiddo that is loving the world of dairy goats ❤️ And so incredibly helpful !!!! A great new show to attend, so light hearted and fun!😍

We truly love days like these- So. Much. Smiling. And talking about goats ! 🤣 We are all a special bunch of people !

And of course, thank you to pop pop for driving ( I could have helped this run....but our 4 hour drive would have been like 5 1/2 😂) and of course his management and doing all the behind the scenes stuff ! We are all pooped, but happy !

Now just one more show and linear appraisal...and breeding begins ! 🐐🐐🐐🐐

So much gratitude for the show staff at lhdga ! Could not do it with out you all !

I'm (Joanna) so grateful for pop pop William Ringer getting the goats to where they are ! He does the brunt of the work and did all the clipping for this show ! He has even brought Bernice (our best in show senior doe) back to normal since she decided eating wasn't a priority after kidding ! Even buying her 8 different feeds and offering them by hand until she picked one ! Icing on the cake.... Stacey Harbaugh having the grand junior champion with Bernice's kid !!!!

I love that my husband could come with our kiddos and Sierra having the champion recorded grade with her doe Pat!

So much fun today and so much to share after the tiredness wears off !

I'm bummed my original post didn't upload....it was better 🤣I'm tired !

We had another fun day showing at the MDGA show ! And the weather was awesome !

Pallet Farms Bridget's Bernice was Best of Breed under Jake Bradford and Joseph Larson.

Pallet Farms Sunny's Solstice was Best of Breed under Jay Rudolph.

Pallet Farms Bailey's Bingus (🤦) was Grand Champion under Joe Larson and Reserve under Jake Bradford.

And we got home in the daylight !! (Because we only brought milkers 🤣🐐)

We had a fun day at the Nova Spring Fling show !

CH Pallet Farms Sunny's Solstice was Best of Breed in both rings under Karen Smith and Joe Pilotte.

CH Pallet Farms Lucille's Lydia was Best of Breed Recorded Grade under Pilotte.

Pallet Farms Lydia's Luella was Grand Champion AOP under Pilotte and Reserve under Smith.

Pallet Farms Bailey's Bingus (🤦) was Reserve under Pilotte.

Pallet Farms Solstice's Storm and Pallet Farms Solstice's Sundew (Sisters) took turns for first in their class in a very impressive 2yo class, and Smith gushed over Storm saying "she took her breath away as soon as she entered the ring!" 🤭 (We will get a photo of them since we forgot !) And we also forgot two of our rosettes 🤦🤦🤦whoops !

And just like that, the whirlwind of kidding has begun ! Our first induction series of this kidding season resulted in the doe fairy bringing plenty of unfulfilled orders in the wrong places ,but also some great ones with our AI breedings! (Will post soon) We even had a few we didn't ask for !🤷🤣 Either way, it was fast, but mostly at midnight ! We may have napped today ! 🤣🐐
