Due to the scarcity of hand sanitizer, we made a kit to sanitize your hands: Liquid Soap, Hand Sanitizer and Hand Cream in small purse size containers so you can carry them with you. The way to really sanitize your hands is to wash them, then use a sanitizer and finally a barrier of hand cream. We have included herbs and oils noted for their antiviral and antibacterial properties. local picks up are available at our Orchard by curbside appointment

INGREDIENTS:

190 Proof grain alcohol, aloe vera juice, olive oil infusion of olive leaves, calendula, elderberry flower and echinacea, tea tree, lavender, geranium, and lemon essential oils, Vitamin E

Hand Cream 1 oz

INGREDIENTS:

Infused Olive Oil ( olive leaves, calendula, chamomile, lavender, elderberry flower, echinacea, rose hips) aloe vera juice, distilled water, emulsifying wax, beeswax, Vitamin E, lavender, geranium, lemon, tea tree oils

Dear Friends,
As a measure of caution and deep concern for my customers and staff, I am closing Sandy Oaks to the public during the pandemic created by the Covid 19 virus. We will not be at Pearl Farmer’s Market, either. My staff and I will use this time to work the farm and make the wonderful products many of you enjoy. Although our farm shop is not open, we have a great website shop, sandyoaks.com. Be sure and check it out to order our products and for information about growing olive trees in Texas. I will miss visiting with all of you, but it will make the visit even more precious when we open to the public again. In the meantime, wash your hands, don’t go to crowded places and keep safe.

We have a special meal planned for Saturday Feb 15, 2020 to celebrate Valentine. We use olive wood charcoal to smoke our meat out here. It imparts a gentle smoked flavor that is quite unique. We are offering smoked brisket or chicken with a side of Sandy Oaks Potato Salad (roasted potatoes with olive oil and our Mediterranean Salt) and asparagus. The meal will start with a salad and olive bread. The dessert will be Strawberry Pound Cake iced with a creamy strawberry icing and strawberry to the side. One glass of prosecco will be served with the meal. Non alcoholic drinks are also included with the meal $25

Join us this Saturday, Jan 11, 2020 for a Sandy Oaks special meal. We will be serving Chicken Puttanesca served with Rice, Salad, and Dessert. $20 per person drink included
(non-alcoholic). A tour of the orchard will be starting at 11:30. This is a free tour given by the owner Saundra Winokur. Tasting bar and nursery open untill 3 p.m so join us for a day of fun.

December 7th Gingerbread House Workshop

Come to Sandy Oaks Olive Orchard this Saturday for a fun and fancy hands-on holiday craft workshop. Team up with your son, daughter, niece, nephew, grandchild or other kiddo to build and decorate your own gingerbread house.

We will supply the house, icing and candy to decorate with. Each pair will take home their creation. As well, we will supply a pattern and recipe for you to take home, just in case you want to do this again.

There is a $25 supply fee per pair (one adult + one child). Please call ahead at 210-621-0044 to reserve your spot. We want to make sure we have adequate supplies to accommodate everyone!

We will be having Chris Gonzales serving his famous tamales using Sandy Oaks Olive Oil an Urzante Olive Oil We will have all beer on sale for $3 ea. Harvest is in full effect so come by and see the olives while they are still on the trees.
