Maple Bottom Farm We are a family farm producing A2 Guernsey milk, cheese, drinkable yogurt and ice cream.

It can be purchased on farm at The Red Shed as well as beef, pork and eggs. We welcome guests to The Farmhouse B&B, our flower fields and for tours.

🌾🚜 Happy National Farmers Day — To Every Farmer, We See You. ❤️

Today, we recognize the hardworking men and women and their children who dedicate their lives to producing the food, fuel, and fiber that we all depend on.

Did you know that farmers and ranchers make up less than 2% of the U.S. population? Yet the work they do touches every American, every single day.

Behind every farm is a story that isn’t always seen.

It’s the rising cost of feed, seed, fertilizer, fuel, equipment, and repairs. It’s the uncertainty of markets, unpredictable weather, and the challenge of making financial decisions when so much is beyond your control.

It’s the long hours, missed family gatherings, sleepless nights, and the physical and mental toll of keeping an operation going — regardless of its size.

And for those farmers working tirelessly to finish harvest right now, racing against the weather and daylight, we see you.

To the dairy farmers who care for their cows 365 days a year, the crop farmers putting in another long night, the livestock producers, specialty growers, large operations and small family farms finding ways to survive and grow — we see you, too.

At Maple Bottom Farm, we understand that farming is both a privilege and a responsibility. We know the pride that comes with this way of life, but we also understand the sacrifices, the financial pressures, and the weight of knowing that animals, land, families, and livelihoods depend on the decisions we make every day.

Farming operations may look different, but so many of our challenges are shared.

“Opening New Doors for Dairy” — the theme of the 2026 World Dairy Expo couldn’t be more fitting!

As we reflect on an incredible week, we are especially grateful for the people in the dairy industry who open doors and create opportunities for the next generation. We have been blessed by so many who have encouraged, mentored and given Lee and Clara opportunities to learn, grow and pursue their passion for dairy and Guernseys.

Clara had an unforgettable first time showing at World Dairy Expo, placing 10th overall in Junior Showmanship with a calf generously loaned by Larry Tobin. With GR – Dairyman MB C Car Cruise-EX90 she earned 2nd in the Open Show, 2nd in the Junior Show and Honorable Mention Intermediate Champion of the Junior Show! Her goal for the year was to bring home a medal, and she brought home three! She was also selected as the winner of three embryos from the GenoSource Future Breeders Program!

A special thank-you to Justin and Ashley Kauffman (and Crew) for their outstanding care of Car, to Larry Tobin for trusting Clara with his calf, and to Chupps Farm for giving Clara the opportunity to work alongside them this week.

It was also a great week at home and Lee was able to work with our neighbors and chopping crew to harvest our corn silage.

The future of dairy is brighter because of people who are willing to open doors for the next generation. Thank you to everyone who has opened those doors for our kids. ❤️🐄

Our sunflower are finished blooming for now. Stay tuned for another field due to bloom mid October. If you are a photographer, we still have some wildflowers that could be used for picture taking purposes. Thanks to everyone who visited us this summer.

Good night from the sunflower field. The sunflower still look great, but probably won’t last until next weekend. Make plans to visit us at 1119 Cunningham Bridge Rd. Dawson PA this weekend. Stop at the Red Shed and pick up snips for flower cutting. Cash, PayPal and Venmo accepted. $8 per person.
