We are a family farm producing A2 Guernsey milk, cheese, drinkable yogurt and ice cream.

It can be purchased on farm at The Red Shed as well as beef, pork and eggs. We welcome guests to The Farmhouse B&B, our flower fields and for tours.

June is Dairy month and today we celebrate World Milk Day.
We would like to take a few minutes and introduce ourselves to those who are new to our page. Maple Bottom Farm is owned by Vickie and Mike Baker where we milk 60 Guernsey cows in a robot and work alongside our children, Lee and Clara. Our milk is processed under the Naturally Golden Family Farms brand, a small cooperative as as well as as sold to Land O Lakes. We take pride in producing Golden Guernsey dairy products including whole milk, chocolate milk, cream, butter, a variety of cheeses, drinkable yogurt, and ice cream. Our products are available for purchase at The Red Shed, our self serve on farm store located at 1119 Cunningham Bridge Rd. Dawson, Pennsylvania.
Thanks to the support of you, we are currently building a larger on farm store where we will be able to offer more products for our local community. Today we encourage you to raise a glass of cold milk and celebrate with us!
We will continue to share more of our story this
month and take you behind the scenes to learn more about our farm, our cows, our products and our family.

Summer is here, school is finished and our kids are doing what they love!!!

Just in time for summer: THE RED SHED is stocked with half gallons of our own Naturally Golden Family Farms ice cream in the following flavors: vanilla, chocolate, raspberry, cookie dough, cookies & cream.
Don’t forget, we also have hamburger, chicken, and brisket for your weekend cookout needs. Check us out – hamburger is $7.50 per pound. That’s cheaper than Walmart! Hamburger price will increase to $8 starting on 6/1.
If you’re interested in larger quantities of hamburger, let us know. We also have 1/4 and 1/2 beef available in June! Save even more- and you pick the cuts!

Located at 1119 Cunningham Bridge Rd. Dawson PA. The Red Shed is self-serve farm fresh food available 24/7/365. Cash, PayPal, and Venmo accepted.

The Pennsylvania 4-H - Fayette Countywide
Dairy Club has been meeting at Maple Bottom Farm recently for their regular meetings. Tonight they headed to Loucks Park in Scottdale and helped water the newly planted trees. Thanks Scottdale Mayor Lindy House for connecting us with Mary Huschak-Kaufman who is working out a way to get the community involved in weekly tree watering throughout the summer.
After watering, everyone enjoyed ice cream at Dairy Haus.

While these kids are already preparing for the Fayette County Fair this summer, giving back to our community is one of the key lessons taught through 4-H.
The 4H pledge:
I pledge my head to clearer thinking, my heart to greater loyalty, MY HANDS TO LARGER SERVICE, and my health to better living for my club, MY COMMUNITY, my country and my world.

Happy Mothers Day!!

What can we say, flower picking in in our genes?!?! Wildflowers grown on the farm have been a long standing staple for celebrating this special day. It’s a tradition passed down from one generation to the next.

Here are a few of the bouquets picked by many members of our family and shared with the special moms in our life.

We love flower season on the farm, but the bouquets gathered today mean so much more.

Today we kicked off our school tours and we’re happy to host the 1st grade classes of Connellsville Area School District Bullskin Elementary. Special thanks to everyone who helped and to the PTA for helping to sponsor their trip. It’s safe to say that everyone enjoyed their day and the ice cream!

Mike found our missing goat and she is back with her friends.
She was hanging out between the round bales along Jacob’s Creek at the dead end of Cunningham Bridge Rd.
We add more lambs to the 4H market animal craziness this weekend. Let’s hope that all of the Pennsylvania 4-H - Fayette County projects stay put - otherwise it will be a LOOOOOOOOONG summer chasing goats, pigs and sheep between now and the Fayette County Fair.
