Whew!! We are waking up this morning feeling so proud of what we delivered for our competitors this 2025 MHT season. Our USEA Recognized competition on September 14 drew riders of all levels around the region who came and conquered our XC course. Yesterday, we hosted our Starter Horse Trials and USPC Eventing Rally and wow - what a fun day with great riders!!! In between, we held open schooling of our competition course and saw 100+ horse and rider combos come to enjoy what our course designer and builder put together for us, including an inclusive riding group from Promise Landing Farm.

Behind the scenes, there is so much work that goes into executing an event like this - and our community event is truly powered with volunteer grit and determination. Without our volunteers who mowed grass (for weeks), painted, stained, and decorated jumps, ran scores, scribed for dressage judges, jump-judged, and just so much more - our event would not be possible. We are forever grateful.

A community cannot come together in common purpose without the glue that holds it together - and for the Marlborough Horse Trials - that glue is Asta Raley. Asta is not only the organizer of MHT, she is DC of the De La Brooke Pony Club, MFH for De La Brooke Foxhounds W, owner/operator of Patuxent Eventing - and she became a new mom this year - so if you saw her during our MHT season I am sure it was with a baby in her arms or on her lap. This shout out is a clue that she doesn't run our socials ;) - please extend your thanks to her when you see her next.

Looks like a weekend of beautiful weather ahead!! 🌞 We are kicking things off with cross country schooling tomorrow. Please read the fine print (times, ground crew etc) so you are well prepared! Our MHT team will be ready to great you at the Secretary’s tent before you ride out!! We will also be prepping the park for our Unrecognized HT on Sunday so please be kind if you see us working out on course. 🩵
