Hear! Hear! Java Love Coffee Roasting Co.
As a women-owned business, we know how much can happen when women support women.
Today, on National Women’s Equality Day, we’re thinking about the women who have opened doors, made space, taken risks, and helped each other along the way.
📚Quick history minute: August 26 marks the day the 19th Amendment was certified back in 1920, prohibiting denying the vote based on s*x. But that didn't mean every woman could actually vote, Black, Native, and immigrant women kept fighting for decades after for that right to be real in practice, not just on paper. Fifty years later, in 1970, a massive women's strike demanded equal pay, equal opportunity, and equal rights across the board, and in 1973 that anniversary officially became "Women's Equality Day." So this day was never just about the vote. It's about everything before and after it too, crazy right?
We’re grateful for the women who came before us, the women beside us, and the women who remind us every day that there is no limit to what women can build, lead, create, and accomplish.
We’re lucky to know so many women who prove otherwise every single day. ❤️
