With great sadness, Westwind Farms lost our beloved Irish Draught stallion, Accomac, earlier this week. He has been a fixture here for 10 years - and was a good friend to everyone that met him. Always calm, gentle and curious to meet new people, he was easily the best stallion we've had in the barn, and one of the kindest and most talented. From his success in the jumper ring, to the many gorgeous young foals he has sired, it will be a huge loss to the Irish Draught breed. Endless thank you's to his breeders, Elizabeth McFarland and Mike Wigen in Montana, for bringing such wonderful bloodlines and their vision for the Irish sport horse breed. And for all of their help along the way. We are expecting 4 more foals in the spring, and several more from other barns. I've added some pictures of his offspring here, some of whom are for sale. Please add pictures of your "Mac" babies if you have one. He will be missed.

New prospect for sale! This very cool guy just came of the racetrack. He is a 2010 16.3 hand TB. One of the easiest, kindest, and most laid back OTTB's you will find, and also came off in very good condition and weight, and with nice solid feet. Attached video shows his very first jump :) and he is extremely willing. When he went for a hack, he biggest concern was stopping for a bite of grass! He has no vices and is sound on clean legs.
